Paul Anderson has assembled the cast for his forthcoming 3D version of The Three Musketeers, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Percy Jackson’s Logan Lerman is in talks to play D’Artagnan, while Ray Stevenson (The Book of Eli), Luke Evans (Clash Of The Titans) and Matthew Macfadyen (Robin Hood) have been cast as Alexandre Dumas’s musketeers Porthos, Athos and Aramis.

Inglourious Basterds Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz will take on the role of Cardinal Richelieu and Mads Mikkelsen is villain Rochefort. Joining them will be Anderson’s wife and regular leading star Milla Jovovich as Milady de Winter.

Orlando Bloom has also been offered a role in the film, that of villain the Duke of Buckingham.

Anderson’s project, for Summit Entertainment, will go before cameras in September, before the recently-announced Warner Bros/Doug Liman Three Musketeers movie.
